As usual, Mary Ward had a very successful art show. This time it was called ECCENTRICK and was filled with many interesting, out of this world pieces of art. From fine arts to media to tech, I found all of the artwork to be very creative.
My favourite part of the whole art show was located in the Dark Room. This is where all of the videos and movies were being played. I would spend periods in that room watching the movies over and over again during the art show. I really liked the movies and found them quite entertaining. Some were funny, some were inspiring and others were just random, but I found myself in that Dark Room quite often. I also liked the tech area of the art show where giant paper mache figures were made. I remember the Tim Horton's and Patrick the Star ones very well and thought that they looked exactly like the originals.
This year, however, the art show seemed a bit smaller than last year's ECHO. There was no art work in the inspire area where I can recall last year had some. Also, there was no art work outside the school right next to art, where as last year had some as well. Despite this, the art show was great. This year had the Visconti gallery and Mutant Forest located upstairs which I thought was good because it was a preview and free of cost. So if someone couldn't pay or make the time to see the whole art show, at least they could see the section of the art show that was upstairs.
When you enter the art show, you would find a bunch of distorted painted images and mirrors. It's funny because I kept getting tricked by the way the walls curved and the mirrors so whenever I tried to exit through that area, I would try to go to the other side of the wall to the door. However, there was only one exit and that wasn't it. For some reason I kept thinking there was two!
Overall, I really liked the art show. There were some aspects which made it different than the other art shows and some that remained the same. I look forward to seeing next year's art show as well! :)

Amanda,
I agree with you that Echo was better than Eccentrick.
I also really liked the videos and I liked how you incorporated your own experiences with the art show into your blog.
Don't worry, I'm sure others thought that there were two doors as well!
Keep on blogging!
